Script then thumbnails, pencils then ink, lettering then color. This is the traditional process for making cmics on paper, each single step a discreet element. Following the same steps in digital comics creation makes the work harder.
Instead, Donna invites creators to think about 'background-midground-foreground' or 'scenery-characters-objects' instead. By thinking and working in layers, it make it easy to revise and reuse the elements from our comics so we don't have to draw things from scratch over and over again when we want to make changes.
Over these four weeks, Donna will demonstrate easy to use work flows to make your digital art versatile across static printed comics or motion comics.
