Diversity, social justice and SAW.
SAW was created believing everyone deserves the right to be heard, seen, and to let their creative light out. We first recognized the enormous costs of most private art schools. At the same time we are striving to comprehend the enormous social struggles some communities have had, and to be agents of good for those communities.
As such, we are offering a small number of full and partial scholarships to our online certificate program.
As of July, for 2021-2022 we are able to offer partial scholarship funds to Black, Indigenous and Persons of Color, persons identifying as women, trans or non-binary, and to students of African American background.
At SAW, we Stand With #BLM
At SAW, we stand with those who have put their lives on the line for generations to fight for equal rights, equal footing, equal safety and equal expression.
SAW was formed humbly, but from privilege that we acknowledge and we commit now to creating equality in our realm, the realm of comics and teaching comics.
